WW - Rolex Prince Branchard doctor's watch, ref 971U, circa 1932, 23mm x 42mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original two-tone 9K gold snap back case with fancy elongated lugs, engraved presentation on rear, includes original signed dust cover stating 25 world records, black leather strap, excellently refinished silvered dial with black painted indices, 15J, s#73220, triple signed. Gross weight of assembled watch without strap 18.1 dwt (28.2 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, light oxide on steel work, center plate has numerous fine scratches, light brass showing though in several areas; excellent refinished dial which still retains some of the original black enamel printed details, light surface spotting; fine blued steel hands show light tarnish and oxide; polished case shows little wear, several light dings on case back; replacement crown shows very little wear; good plastic crystal.
